Swim with the Sea Lions

Calypso Star Charters are now pleased to offer a new adventure, swimming with the Australian Sea Lions at the beautiful Hopkins Island.

Enjoy the comfortable journey on our magnificent 48ft catamaran, the Sea Lion Explorer and visit the pristine and protected beach of Seal Cove. On arrival at the island these playful creatures bound out to greet you, inviting them to come and join them in the water!

Let them captivate and engage you with the fascinating performance and marvel at their skills as they somersault, backflip and swirl around you.

Equipment like; Mask, snorkel, fins and wetsuit are provided.

Swim with the Tuna

Part adventure, part education and a whole lot of fun! 'Swim with the Tuna' offers 2.5 hours of fin-tastic fun for the whole family.

Join us as our state-of-the-art Tuna Platform, the biggest in South Australia, moored four nautical miles off Port Lincoln.

We'll take you there and back by high-speed catamaran, slowing down should we meet a playful pod of dolphins.

Our Tuna Platform is home to a fishtropolis of fish – including 60 Southern Blue Fin Tuna, plus tons of local fish such as king fish, snapper & trevally who are jumping with joy awaiting your arrival.

If you fancy being at the epicentre of a school of Southern Blue Fin Tuna at lunch time then slide into one of our wetsuits & snorkel and you are away. If that is not your cup of tea – then we suggest you marvel at the awesome tuna from the feeding platforms.

There's an underwater observatory, touch pond, change rooms, showers, toilets and Divers Deli with a credit card facilities. Plus there's a central shaded seating area – when you're not racing the fish, you can watch the action all around you. We also have the first floating post office in South Australia – a great place to drop someone a line!
