"Calypso Star" offers the best in safety, performance and all the creature comforts of home. She was launched in late 2000 by Deepwater Marine. "Calypso Star" has a length of 17.3m a beam of 5m and draws 1.54m.
She is based on a Mark Ellis designed hull, well proven in the Rock Lobster industry with the accommodation, saloon and fly bridge custom fitted for our Great White Shark Cage Diving and offshore sport fishing operations. |

| "Calypso Star" comfortably sleeps 8 passengers in extra large single bunks. A forward cabin of 4 and 2 cabins of 2 allow for privacy while on board. All cabins have ample storage space for baggage and camera boxes and 240v power is always available. A clothes dryer ensures that your towel and clothing is always warm and dry. |

| The vessel has 2 showers and toilets, 1 shower and toilet is accessible from the large cockpit area to allow divers a hot freshwater rinse after a session in the cage. |
| The spacious saloon area capable of seating 10 is fully air-conditioned. It is a great place to relax, read a book, have a chat or watch a movie on our large LCD screen. Guests are welcome to bring their own DVD’s and music or choose from our selection on board. Viewing of the day’s photos and footage is popular, so don’t forget to bring your camera cords. |

| Your crew of 2 will cook up a storm in the fully equipped galley and a cappuccino is a great way to start the day. A full suite of Navigation and communication equipment, including satellite telephone keeps your skipper well informed while at sea. |
The Large, carpeted cockpit area offers plenty of room for dive preparation and ‘top side’ viewing of the sharks.
Do a spot of fishing or simply relax in the sun. Under floor freezers hold all the bait and chum and a freshwater rinse tank is available for you camera gear.
The bridge deck offers a great view and fantastic photo opportunities abound. |
